12 Windows of Christmas Cheer

Tuesday 8th January 2013

In the run up to Christmas, we were delighted to be chosen as one of the twelve local businesses who took part in transforming an empty shop window in a bid to attract more shoppers to Nottingham city. By enhancing the visiting and shopping experience through an eye-catching trail of wonderful festive scenes, the ’12 Windows of Christmas Cheer’ encouraged people to explore different areas within the city. From a Bio-Urban Design Consultancy to an Architectural Ironmonger to us, an ethical giftware business, this project illustrated the high level of creative talent Nottingham has to offer.

Our Enchanted Forest window display was envisaged by Tanya John and brought to life by her, myself and my husband as her ‘helpful elves’ after working constantly for more than 28 hours. We created a cozy magical tea drinking display as well as a snow-covered forest intertwined with some of our beautiful jewellery pieces with five gold rings dispersed across the diorama for the public to “spot”. Shoppers also had the added bonus of automatically being entered into a draw to win £500 worth of shopping vouchers once they had voted for their favourite window.

We are delighted to have taken part in such a fantastic project and would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who voted for us.
